Head of Arizona ACLU Arrested in Protest
Sheriff Joe Arpaio has made himself quite famous for his efforts to enforce the law against illegal immigrants. A controversial figure, he has made many allies and many enemies. One thing that no one can deny about the man, he has no lack of guts. Check out what happened at a protest in favor of illegal immigration. This news is a bit humorous to me.
The Sheriff says they will take care of business, if they violate any illegal immigration laws they’re going to jail.
And that’s exactly what happened Sautrday. The head of the American Civil Liberties Union’s legal division was arrested. Not for violating immigration laws, but for trespassing.
Deputies say they told him 6 times to leave the property, he refused to leave, so he was put in handcuffs. He has been booked into 4th Avenue jail.
Despite the arrest the protest continued.
Pruitts is not only tired of protestors – but Mayor Phil Gordon. In the past, Pruitt’s owner claimed Gordon and Phoenix Police wouldn’t address his problem of day laborors – so he looked to Sheriff Joe.
Here is where I get a chuckle:
“I’m not their favorite guy,” Sheriff Joe Arpaio said. “They’ve sued me. I think this guy (Pochoda) is involved in a lawsuit against me. You think that’s going to bother me?”
Bystanders came by to shake the sheriff’s hand. One woman told Arpaio, “You kick butt.”
Heh, Sheriff Joe looks at this arrest as a badge of honor. Thing is, the ACLU leader probably looks at his arrest as a badge of honor as well, and it won’t surprise me to see this arrest followed up with another lawsuit against the sheriff. I’m pretty sure it won’t be too surprising to the sheriff either though.

This isn’t too far from where I live. Slowly but surely, the Illegals are creeping their way back to the Wal-Mart and Home Depot parking lots on the southeast corner of 36th Street & Thomas Road, which is about 2 blocks east of Pruitts.
BTW, Phil Gordon is a Democrat who looks to succeed Governor Napolitano when and if she decides to step down.
When is Washington going to get a clue from Sheriff Joe’s popularity and maybe realize Sheriff Joe has the right idea about handling criminals? Two meals a day(brunch and dinner), chain gangs, no tv, no porn, some of the prisoners work for Animal Control, saving the county even more money, pink underwear–people don’t like going to Sheriff Joe’s hotel and they don’t want to go back. Isn’t that what prison is supposed to be?

Ya’ll need to COVER-UP that [edited] Gordon with REAL PAPER LETTERS.
COVER city council with REAL PAPER LETTERS asking why Gordon shouldn’t have his [edited] fired for not enforcing the law.
E-mails get deleted & are seen ONLY by the one with the delete button – Send REAL PAPER.
CALL the radio & TV stations and ask them why Gordon’s [edited] hasn’t been fired for dereliction of duty.
Then, ask the RADIO & TV PERSONNEL WHY THEY THEMSELVES should not be fired for failure to report on such a serious matter ( that matter being a Police Chief who’s smothering his gonads instead of enforcing the law ).

He was trespassing end of story. The ACLU is this countries organized terrorist group.
Elias- Have you heard of ILLEGAL immigration laws? Just like the 17 boy in the news today was stoned on pot and had more in his book bag and he was also an illegal alien. So they deported him back to Mexico. And now al hell breaks out because ICE did there JOB! Been ok if the fool gave some drugs to one of there kids and they O D. People in this country who hate are laws should just shut there traps and get the hell out if they hate it here so damn much. The problem is people think when they say America the land of freedom means they can do what ever they like and the hell with everyone else. Well here is a news flash for those people. That’s how it is where you come from not here in America. We have laws. If the Liberal Democrats, Illegal Immigrants, and the raciest so called civil rights groups would leave are land it would be a wonderful place to call home. But for us average Joe’s who follow the laws and pay are taxes get the short end of the stick as always.
