"Yeah, that 14,000 DOW is really disgusting, ain’t it?
Jobs UP Keepable income UP New work orders UP. "

Sorry I didn't make myself clear. I was referring to the GOVERNMENT'S financial state. You know, the one it created when it decided to charge the cost of the war on our grandchildren's credit card while handing out huge tax breaks to people who don't need it and who benefit most by the society those taxes help to pay for, all in the name of boosting the economy, only to have it perform, by any measure, much more poorly and much more unevenly than it did when the Democrats controlled the white house. How did the stock market do when Clinton was president? How about the job market? How about work orders? And all with those outrageous taxes on the wealthy! Nobody wants to throw their money away on taxes, only to have it misspent, but lower taxes are just not the answer to every problem, and it is time we realized that.

I actually disagree with JFK. The economy will adjust. If you lower taxes then certain people will have more money and the cost of their goods will increase as the rule of supply and demand comes into effect. If you want the water to raise then total resources(real wealth) need to raise. Lowering taxes may actually accomplish that in some cases but making them higher has accomplished it in others. It is hard to tell which is why economist are always fighting over the issue.

Why don't we tax the newspapers first and see what their opinion is? I suggest a $0.25 tax on all daily newspapers, $0.50 for a Saturday edition, and $1.00 for each Sunday edition.
