Woman Hit With Brick In IMF Protest

Yikes! I dare someone to suggest this was a peaceful protest protected by the First Amendment!

Several stores in Georgetown are boarding up their windows in anticipation of possible vandalism by protesters in town for the World Bank and IMF meetings.

Fox 5 reporter Roby Chavez is reporting that one woman who worked in a Georgetown-area store has been injured in the protests. A woman was hit in the head after a protester threw a brick through the window of an Abercrombie and Fitch store and a United Colors of Benetton store near the intersection of Wisconsin Avenue and M Street.

A few dozen protesters are gathering at Washington Circle where they plan to begin a march through Georgetown to send a message to what they call “a seat of excessive wealth and privilege.”

These ‘progressive’ protestors efforts always do more damage to the small
businesses they claim to be in favor of. In truth they know
whatever it is they think they are protesting about, it is easier
to destroy the lives and futures of the Mom-and-Pop types- and
they don’t really give a damn about ‘the little people’ anyway.
    The protest is the thing.

This was a peaceful protest protected by the first amendment.

And yes, sure, otter, Abercrombie and Fitch is a mom and pop store.

Peaceful is throwing bricks at windows now. Wow!

Yeah midd, sure, I’m sure every single store they trashed was something classy. Why don’t you read up some newspapers in the cities trashed in the past and see what kind of damage was done to scores of smaller businesses that have nothing to do with your irrational hatreds.

Aside from the idiot who threw a brick, yeah that was a peaceful protest. Didn’t you see the several hundred people standing peacefully? Didn’t you see the cop nonchalantly turn his back on the crowd? That wasn’t a hostile environment. There just happened to be an idiot there.

One idiot? Thats why the stores were boarding up their windows, why several shops had bricks thrown through their windows, newspaper stands thrown over, and police had riot gear. Just one idiot in the few dozens of protesters.

Why the need for ‘peaceful’ protests? the state is violent, so why not us?
