It is protected by Article 1 Section 4 of the Illinois state Constitution. "SECTION 4. FREEDOM OF SPEECH All persons may speak, write and publish freely, being responsible for the abuse of that liberty. In trials for libel, both civil and criminal, the truth, when published with good motives and for justifiable ends, shall be a sufficient defense." Illinois State Constitution Article 1 A lawsuit would be a good idea. That sure sounds like an infringement of the press. It is protected by Article 1 Section 4 of the Illinois state Constitution.
