Sticky: Stop The ACLU status

As it has been obvious, we’ve had some technical difficulties with stoptheaclu.com. We had a database crash and I had to restore the database from a corrupt backup. So far we’ve got a 2 month gap of missing content which we will try to restore also. Just letting you know what’s going on, but all in all, it’s a pretty short downtime as these things go.
Some quick words of advice for fellow bloggers out there. Keep regular backups of your files AND your database. Most hosting control panels offer this or allow you to FTP files in and out. Make sure you keep your files. To get your database, you can use whatever your webhost gets you, or you can install the WP-DBManager plugin for wordpress to make it easy through the WP-admin side of things. Lastly, always keep your wordpress install to the latest version. There are automated tools out there to hack out-of-date wordpress installs.
