Roe v. Wade – Memorial Day

Posted on January 22, 2007

The press is celebrating this day the “Thirty-fourth” anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, signifying a woman’s right to kill her baby.

It should be however a memorial.

For comparison since the left that celebrates the right to murder the unborn also enjoys counting our war dead as an excuse bash Bush, this comparison is appropriate:

Revolutionary War – 4,435 deaths.

Civil War (both sides) – 498,332 deaths.

World War I – 116,708 deaths.

World War II – 407,316 deaths.

Korea – 25,604 deaths.

Vietnam – 58,168 deaths.

Total killed due to abortion since 1973 – 50,000,000 (50 MILLION) deaths.

Estimate since the Iraq War began, just over 5,000,000 (5 Million) babies aborted.

Yeah, let all the children cry – if they could.

Thank you for posting this. Your information is very interesting to read.

I did want to point out a typo… you put “(5 MILLION) deaths” when i’m assuming you meant 50 MILLION…

    God bless you!

I would love to hear how you came up with that number. That comes out to almost 1.5 million per year. You didn’t specify, but since you’re talking about Roe v. Wade, I’ll assume you’re talking about abortions in the USA.

There are about 4 million births per year in this country, so 1.5 million annual abortions would represent almost 1/4 of all pregnancies. (excluding miscarriages because they’re not really relevant and I don’t want to bother looking for the number.)

I’ve never seen a line outside of a clinic, so that number seems quite high.

some info here at the libertarian Reason, which is not a pro-life group, showing that though they might not total 50 million, significant numbers starting out at 615,000 in 1973 and peaking at 1.6 million in 1990, 1.3 million in 2002. (this if you rely on abortion providers numbers.)

Just a question, do you conservatives care about the innocent Iraqis killed by our troops every day, accidentally or not?

Mein Gott! Could you imagine how unbearable this country would be with another 5 million screaming kids born in the last three years?
