AP: Clinton Launches 2008 White House Bid
NEW YORK (AP) – Democratic Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton embarked on a widely anticipated campaign for the White House on Saturday, a former first lady intent on becoming the first female president. “I’m in and I’m in to win,” she said on her Web site.
Clinton’s announcement, days after Sen. Barack Obama shook up the contest race with his bid to become the first black president, establishes the most diverse political field ever.
Clinton is considered the front-runner, with Obama and 2004 vice presidential nominee John Edwards top contenders. New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson, who would be the first Hispanic president, intends to announce his plans on Sunday.
“You know after six years of George Bush, it is time to renew the promise of America,” Clinton says in a videotaped message in which she invites voters to begin a dialogue with her on the major issues – health care, Social Security and Medicare, and the war in Iraq.
“I’m not just starting a campaign, though, I’m beginning a conversation with you, with America,” she said. “Let’s talk. Let’s chat. The conversation in Washington has been just a little one-sided lately, don’t you think?”
So, we get to listen to platitudinous pap like this for the next 20 months. Great.
Hil — you’re not running against Bush or anyone in his administration. Get some ideas already.
“Let’s talk. Let’s chat.” ?!?!?!?!?! “Let’s hit Happy Hour…omigosh!” Is this the best we have to offer in American political leadership? Sad.
Speaking of “anticlimactic.” I talked to Bill Clinton a few minutes ago and said, “Hillary, she’s been anticlimactic for years, Glib. Why do you think I had to score tail from fat interns?”
If the projectile-vomit inducing fawn-fest over the ascension of Botox Mimi wasn’t enough, I need to invent the barfostomy bag for what we would face should the unthinkable happen.
Let’s face it, HRC’s resume is devoid of any accomplishment. In true uber-fem fashion (not!), she rode the fin of her pathetic fraud husband for nearly three decades before releasing into the tide. The woman is nothing but a creature of pathological ambition and a farcically transparent be-who-I-need-to-be-depending-on-who-I’m-talking-to (“always a Yankees fan,” “plantation…you know wudimtalkinbout.”) PR approach. Oh yeah, all the criminal investigations and indicted/jailed friends don’t speak well either.
Name ONE idea that Hillary has. Name one substantive accomplishment. Name one memorable thing she has said. Cricket-chirp.
Play this over and over again to the American people.

Now that is an accurate headline.
A question to anybody that can answer this. How is it that in order to investigate terror cells in this country a Federal court needs to approve it but the democratic party(hillarious)can launch an investigation into one of its own(Obama) without it? Can somebody please answer this.
The premise of your question is wrong. You can investigate anyone for practically any reason. A court order is only necessary if you wish you perform investigative acts that would otherwise be illegal, such as trespassing or electronic eavesdropping.
Jeff: Thanks for clarifying that.
