Jon- I guess I'm confused here- Certain things are illegal to say? How does the KKK get away with their messages of hate, and how does radical islamics get away with their blatant racist hate speech in public? Some of the vilest things are said by protesters as they stand around funerals for soldiers and shout their racist hate speech toward the grieving families, yet they are protected by the law to do so. I don't know- I think there should be some form of control- but then if you make some kind of rule that bars people from causing pain in others, then those people will abuse the system claiming they were 'caused pain' never ending frivilous lawsuits would ensue. This is a hard topic to decide on- Some countries have made incitement rhetoric like the president of Iran says illegal- and in fact countries like Argentina have called for prosecution of Mahmoud amidinejad (sp?) claiming he broke the law.
