Escondido City Counsel Drops Rental Ban For Illegals Thanks To ACLU Intimidation

Posted on December 14, 2006

Or, as Rick Roberts says, ACLU Spits in eye of American citizens.

The ACLU announces:

In an unexpected but welcome reversal, the city of Escondido has agreed not to enforce a controversial city ordinance that bans renting apartments to undocumented immigrants, a coalition of civil rights organizations announced today.

The agreement is part of a settlement proposed by the city in response to a legal challenge brought by the coalition. A federal judge had already granted a temporary restraining order against the ordinance last month. Coalition attorneys said they believe that it is in the best interest of Escondido and its residents for the city to forego a costly and likely losing case.

Yes, the ACLU thinks it would be better to just cave in to their demands than to face the bills they will run up on you if you don’t provide shelter for criminal aliens. Plain extortion and bullying. Nothing more. They did the same thing in Hazelton PA. Maybe if we could get our Federal government to stop sitting on their hands and get proactive on the illegal alien invasion we wouldn’t have to worry so much about the ACLU bullying the local governments trying to pick up the slack.

A federal judge granted a temporary restraining order. Either the judge is a moron or there argument must have some merit.

Indeed. The status quo isn’t very good, though I think the “proactive” ship sailed a couple decades ago. :)

Well, its just my opinion…but it wouldn’t surprise me that the judge was a moron. I’ve seen too many judges that lack common sense. Its almost like its a job requirement now days.

I used to think so, but the more rulings I read, the more I’m impressed by the analytical prowess of most judges. (even the ones I ultimately disagree with)

The judicial branch of our government needs more change than any other. This case is a prime example as to why.

Cowards! There are too few Patriots in Escondido. I thought we got rid of those Tories.
