If their insurance is anything like Auto insurance their rate will probably go up which can hurt them in relation to their competition. Corporate America will never be encumbered by these lawsuits until the cost of them is no-longer able to be passed on to the consumers. Here in Florida, almost all of the incorporated Municipalities are treated as uninsured and carry bonds to cover litigation. The State placed a cap on damages at $100,000.00 and to sue a Municipality for more than that takes a sponsor in the State House to introduce a Bill on your behalf.
