Stop the ACLU suspects it’s an ACLU plot.   But wait a second. The motto was not added to coins until the Civil War. For some reason, “In God We Trust” did not make paper currency until 1957.   And nickels from 1883 until 1938 did not have the motto on them. Check out this 1935 nickel if you don’t believe me.   The motto also did not appear on the $20 gold coin in 1907 and part of 1908. I guess they think if they support an event that happens to be sponsored by something with a Christian perspective towards Christmas that they would somehow be violating the sacred “seperation of church and state”, and that somehow it would equate to Congress establishing a National religion.
