School Bus Flips In Huntsville, Alabama

UPDATE: FoxNews has just announced that a 3rd girl has died as a result of this crash. – Gribbit

Terrible news from my home state of Alabama. Please keep these families in your prayers.

NewsChannel 19 is following a developing story, involving a school bus from Lee High School that flipped off I-565, below onto Church Street.

Huntsville Police have confirmed to NewsChannel 19 that two students died. Before, they had said four had died, but have decreased that number to two.

The bus was on its daily route to the Huntsville Center for Technology on Drake Avenue, when it flipped off the Interstate. More than 30 students were on board. A number of them were critically hurt.

News like this always hits the heart. I’ve got my own boy riding home on one of those yellow buses right now. Most of them have no seat belts, and are years old. Please keep the families of these kids in your thoughts and prayers.

The driver of the other vehicle was a student. Young drivers cause a disorientate number of accidents so an event like this should be expected. Sadly a fourth student has died. We expect teens to be responsible on the road even though we know their brains are still forming. I lot of people are killed or injured because of that expectation. Is the sacrifice worth it?
