		<description>The first question is what does &quot;open&quot; mean.  I find fanatics exist is every group.  I also find individuals whose beliefs are based on reason.  The first is not open to new ideas while the second may well be open to new ideas but rejects them because they are unsound or invalid to his or her basic tenets.  Of course we could go deeper and question how reasonable those basic tenets are.   Then there are  the people who are like the waves of the sea pushed this way and that by whatever popular idea is present.  Are they open or just wishy washy.</description>
