It just can’t be that he’s able to respond to a surprise this well.
If Clinton really was "sandbagged," then that only shows the kind of softball interviews that he's been getting his whole career. Compare that to the one-hour shellacing that Tim Russert -- of LBJ's administration -- gave Bush a couple years ago.

Wallace's ONE QUESTION was not only fair and obvious, but easy to answer honestly.

"Sandbagged? Clinton agreed to a thirty minute interview, with the stipulation that he would control 15 for his “Global Initiative” and Wallace 15, with nothing off-limits."

So, you tell me that clinton actually was in control for the whole time, having planned this?

"Too bad his PR guy didn’t see it the way you did. He kept nudging the FOX rep., telling him to kill the interview."

I'll admit a PR person would prefer the question and answer don't get asked. I don't trust PR people. They're the types of slime that call this a 'meltdown.'

Wow. Everything must be blamed on clinton. Including clinton being sandbagged.

It just can't be that he's able to respond to a surprise this well.
