One step closer to preserving Mt. Soledad Memorial

As announced the week before last by Rep. Duncan Hunter’s office, today, President Bush is expected to sign legislation, overwhelmingly passed by bipartisan supermajorities in the House and Senate (unanimous), to transfer the Mount Soledad Memorial to federal control.

This of course does not end all legal battles for all time and the psychotic zeal with which the plaintiff has attempted to raze this memorial, which was privately sponsored and is privately maintained, indicates that we should look forward to continuing litigation. Fine with me…this is a case that keeps the ACLU’s treachery in full view and top of mind and the right side WILL win this once and for all.
