Message From Hollywood, “You May Not Close Your Eyes Or Block Your Ears”

The next thing is that Hollywood will demand that manufacturers of DVD players be prohibited from having a “mute button:”

“Recent legal battles have taken a devastating toll on CleanFilms, Family Flix and other companies that edit scenes containing sex, nudity, profanity and excessive violence from mainstream movies to provide a viewing alternative for families concerned over explicit video content.”

I can understand a Judge prohibiting the editing of rental movies but it was a terrible ruling for personal ownership.

Its permitted to do this sort of editing for household use. what is not permitted is doing this for rental or other business purposes.

Hooray for property rights. I guess
