ACLU Against Parental Rights Again

Posted on July 26, 2006

Caroline Fredrickson of the American Civil Liberties Union had the following comment on the passing of the Interstate Abortion Bill:

“She said the measure “would put teens, especially the most vulnerable ones, at greater risk.” She added: “Not all teenagers come from the perfect American family.”

So the ACLU supports conditions that drive the vast majority of young vulnerable teens away from their family because a small minority of teens are at “greater risk” from their family.

James Joyner:

Indeed, it’s hard to fathom a reason to oppose this legislation. Whatever one’s views on abortion, surely kidnapping to accomplish it is a bad thing.

AJ Strata agrees on the common sense of this bill.
