A New “Tool” For Envirofacists
What happens when an extinct bird not seen since 1944 is “suddenly” seen by someone in a kayak sixty years later?
“A federal judge temporarily stopped construction on a $320 million irrigation project Thursday, ruling the changes could disturb the habitat of a woodpecker that might or might not exist.”
But, but, but, there is a “video:”
“Its images are blurred and pixilated owing to rapid motion, slow shutter speed, video interlacing artifacts, and the bird’s distance beyond the video camera’s focal plane,” the paper says of the video.
This reminds myself of the lynx fur hoax.
Looks like the envirofacists have a new tool.

I have seen better footage of big foot.
What in the world is an envirofacist? And how would possibly spotting an endangered bird make you one?
I have no clue what an “envirofacist” is or even an “envirofascist” for that matter. “Fascist” is one of those words you shouldn’t throw around casually, because very rarely do actions amount to fascism.
I dunno if this gets to the level of ‘envirofascism’, but it’s most certainly an example of rampant stupidity. ‘envirofascism’, to me is doing things like studding trees with nails before they are to be cut down. For an idea on strong envirofascism, read Rainbow Six.
To totally shut down a project that big because a few people might maybe possibly have seen a bird that’s supposed to be extinct is a bit rediculous. As Jay said, better footage of bigfoot exists. More people report sightings of bigfoot in a month than have seen this bird in a year’s time. And yet it’s still all dismissed as a hoax. It’s possible the bird is still around, but when scientists specializing in birds can’t find anything, there’s only 8 people who aren’t identified as professionals who possibly saw it, and the only ‘evidence’ is a bad video it’s just as likely some hoaxing or overactive imaginations are afoot.
Those iffigation canals would have helped raise food, how much food is this bird going to provide?
What a bad way to spell irrigation
Fascist is a tad strong. A cute phrase but let’s not use the word too much.
Then it will lose its meaning.
