NoLibs, I appreciate what you were trying to do but in the future please drop the name calling.

I also dislike Helen Thomas but that is no way to handle the situation.

(I have also learned that if we are polite then we don't look look as foolish when we make a mistake.)

	Rational and Polite Debate Please!

I won't resort to name calling but I believe you were looking at the pages for resolutions that "pass".

Here's a page from the UN on the US vetoing a Security Council resolution:
	http://www.un.org/apps/news/story.asp?NewsID=19195&Cr=middle&Cr1=east

Your everything.com article appears to have been last updated in 2001 if I'm reading the page correctly.

Here's the coverage in two MSM sources:
	http://www.cnn.com/2006/WORLD/meast/07/13/mideast.response/index.html
	http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,203307,00.html

Is this possibly what Helen was talking about? Are perhaps the liberals posting on this thread not idiots? Can some liberals in fact do research?

You are correct that the resolution had nothing to do with a ceasefire. And Helen's questions may have been phrased poorly. But you can hardly claim that she is being a bad journalist by asking questions. Plus, she's placed there by Hearst media. Hardly a liberal political mouthpeace. Perhaps they want her in there asking hard questions of Tony Snow, because they want their newspapers to be able to report actual facts. Perhaps, they feel she's doing a good job getting them the information they need, regardless of whether the left or the right approve.

Jesus why did this thread bring out the Liberal idiots like meatless and tThomas? Because one of their beloved ICons, Helen Senile Liberal Thomas was being questioned. She should have been exiled a decade ago as a traitor. Live with it. As for the UN resolutions, for once, for frigging ONCE, it would be nice for one Liberal big mouth know nothing to actually do some research before they open their big liar mouths towards people telling the truth, and conservatives in general. For your information Mr Idiot aka Meatless, if you did one ounce of GD research, you would know that in FACT there was NO current or recent UN resolutions regarding Israel that were vetoed by the US. If your feeble pea sized brain is not able to comprehend that FACT you can try doing the research yourself. Here is the first US web site for you to browse: http://www.everything2.com/index.pl?node_id=1172768 Once your done there, you can take your liberal pea brain over here and look down the list: http://www.un.org/Docs/sc/unsc_resolutions06.htm What you will need to do is remove your finger from your nose and place it on the mouse. Move your arm so that it moves the mouse and the arrow thingy is over any one of the 2006 UN resolutions listed. Hint: Look for the ones that say "The situation in the Middle East". Once you find them, press the left mouse button. The document will then open and you do what we conservatives call Reading. As you will discover much to your chgrin I am sure is that none of the resolutions there have ANYTHING to do with a ceasefire, and NONE were vetoed by the US. Ilk like you make me sick, and frankly I'm sick and damn tired of you and your ilk destroying this country with your bullcrap. I can hear you now with the old liberal standby comeback "then why don't you leave, maybe move to Germany or Beruit". I got a better idea. Find out where the next bomb will drop over in the Middle East and go stand there. Idiot....

I don't think he lied. I think he answered her question. She said there was a cease fire we vetoed. That isn't true. I think she was confused and perhaps confused everyone there. We vetoed a condemnation. I'm sure that is what she was referring to, but had her facts mixed up.

I don't think it was confusing at all. It was quite obvious she was talking about the U.N. resolution, and Tony Snow was either extremely ignorant or he was lying outright. I'd guess the latter, considering it's his job to know what the administration is up to.

Is that what she was talking about? She sure did sound confusing to me. Anyway, it was still fun to watch her get smacked down for her sympathy with the enemy.
