According to the Boston Globe, law enforcement declined to investigate because the 7 year old's father did not file a police report. The article claimed that the father did not want children to be investigated he didn't want to vilify the children. The father said. "We do want to get along, even though there's very powerful differences in beliefs."

The school superintendent's position remains that the a children involved where squabbling on a playground because of a lunchroom disagreement and that, "Some adults are (now) exploiting these children for political purposes."

Who knows where this story is going. For the latest information on this controversal story, please visit Boston Globe, "Official says fathers view on gays didnt spark fight"

Thank you for the comments, Kerwin. I appreciate your insight into other cases where adults may have had direct or indirect influence on their children. Parental influence and manipulation have been problems in the past.

In this case, I don't know what to believe. I am anxiously awaiting further information from law enforcement agencies there.

It depends on who you choose to believe. I don know that when I had a disagreement about where who would sit in the cafeteria it was generally in the cafeteria. Playground fight were usually over general harassment or something to do with the playground. Perhaps times have changed.

An actor is accursed of using his child against his wife and the judge is taking the accusation seriously so parents do use their children to carry though their aggressions.

I heard another case where a mother probably set her husband up to be murdered by her own son with gun she conveniently bought and left where he could get it. Plausible deniability is all she needed to get away with it.

"Are liberals beating up children of their political opponents?"

No! Oddly. Kids got in a harmless fight for an arbitrary reason like they have since kids existed. The situation was resolved just like it should have been and then idiotic lobbyist groups started throwing words like assault around to try to manipulate the situation into an advantage only to have it dutifully reported by pundits and bloggers who are desperate for news, apparently.

So yes, the answer to your question is not only no, but is something like this; "Obviously no, what kind of silly person would suggest that an entire category of people following a political ideal are suddenly attacking the children of their political rivals? That's ridiculous, slanderous and childish question. Who in their right mind would ask such a thing?!"
