CAIR Goes After Marine For ‘Insensitive’ Song, “Hadji Girl”

On the video, titled “hadji girl,” a man dressed in an olive-colored T-shirt and long pants sings into a microphone in what seems to be a large room with numerous unseen spectators, with the obscenity-laced lyrics describing encountering an Iraqi woman and her family.
At one point, the man sings, “I grabbed her little sister and put her in front of me. As the bullets began to fly, the blood sprayed from between her eyes, and then I laughed maniacally.” In the background, laughing, clapping and cheers can be heard.
CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper said the military needs to determine who the Marine was, when the event took place and what disciplinary action will be taken.
“It shows what we hope is not a pervasive culture in the Marine Corps of a complete lack of sensitivity to the suffering of civilians in Iraq,” Hooper said.

The Marine Corps has capitulated in the face of CAIR’s yapping. CAIR, of course, is still not satisfied and is calling for a full-scale witch hunt:
“We welcome the Marine Corps statement, but we also expect that those who participated in this incident will be identified and disciplined appropriately,” said CAIR Executive Director Nihad Awad. Awad added that he hoped Congress would conduct hearings on this and similar incidents.

If those anonymous Marines were to stumble on Polipundit.com, I have a message for them, “I would not hesitate to go into combat with you guys.”
Do I think some sensitivity training is needed? Absolutely!!! The CAIR organization needs some sensitivity training to the unique culture of the US Military.
Update: Marine apologizes:
Belile, a 23-year-old who lives in Jacksonville and serves with Marine Light/Attack Helicopter Squadron 167, said the song was meant only as a joke, based on lines from “Team America: World Police” and that he apologizes to people who may have been offended by the lyrics.
“It’s a song that I made up and it was nothing more than something supposed to be funny, based off a catchy line of a movie,” Belile said. “I apologize for any feelings that may have been hurt in the Muslim community. This song was written in good humor and not aimed at any party, foreign or domestic.”
Good humor or not, the Marine Corps is now investigating.

If a Marine is responsible for the video you described then the Marines should discipline him. That video sounds like a good way to stir up unrest against our soldiers and thereby endanger their health and lives. I hope it is some liberal nut job impersonating a Marine.

Considering the last scam the liberals had with the “Army Ranger” who opposed the war in Iraq, that is actually quite possible.

So, despite having issued an unnecessary mea culpa, the Marines are “investigating”. Exactly what are they “investigating”…..the unauthorized exercising of 1st Amendment rights? This is what always pissed me off while I was on active duty: I was good enough to fight and die for the Constitution, but its protections apparently didn’t apply to me while I was in uniform.
