I do know one thing and that is that crime is more of a threat than terrorism. Look at how many people have been killed in the United States due to crime compared to those killed by terrorism during the time after Bush's first inaugural address. Despite this crime was not considered sufficient reason to change the law regarding privacy. One thing I have observed is that Bush is overzealous on some aspects of securing the nation while ignoring some that are more of a thread such as port security and our borders. Who is he more afraid of? It seems he is more afraid of Americans than those that would enter our borders to bring us harm. This issue is complicated.
