I Got Banned from ‘Democratic Underground’ in ONE DAY

Posted on June 7, 2006

One day…
That’s all it took the Thought Police at ‘Democratic Underground’ to ban me from speaking at discussion boards. Even the Daily Kos took longer than that.

Libs are always the model of free speak and tolerance.

Where’s the ACLU when you really need them?

Since commenters have been banned from this site, what exactly is your point?

How bad did you violate the rules? What was the violation?

From what I can tell, “Liberal tolerance” is usually only liberal and tolerant if one toes the political line.

Then again, if the rules are clearly defined, stuff happens. I thought really long and hard before I posted the UN blasts US post and hope that it was not to far out.

Send the democraticunderground a note and ask them to reinstated. Temper your comments and play within the rules. On the Hannity Forum, they have clearly defined rules and if someone makes a mistake, usually they get warned the first time. Actually Hannity forum is liberal on allowing comments.

I think I played by the rules. Maybe I’ll request leniency.

The forum was discussing abortion, so I posted a pro-abortion article written by 2 feminists who were fantasizing about a kinder, gentler abortion experince.

They must have thought I made it up. You couldn’t make this stuff up, though.

Hey, I got banned from this place in about three hours, so Meatbrain’s question goes for me, too.

    i ♥ meatbrain.

so what are you both doing back?

This should be a fun thread.

Thanks for the addendum to my comment! I love it when people attribute things to me even though I didn’t say them. Very classy.

Maybe “banned” wasn’t the correct word. I should have said Gribbit deleted my first account after I called Gribbit a liar after Gribbit lied.

Have you ever logged into freerepublic? they ban right-wingers that don’t toe the line.

you can all relax. put down the kool-aid. back away slowly…

no one’s erasing you comments. your arguments aren’t dangerous or “speaking truth to power” or anything like that.

just enjoy the postings and leave your best arguments. i figure — with a half a dozen postings a day — i’m going to be wrong at times.

    so bring it on.

  12. Jim on June 8th, 2006 1:08 pm
