[...] Way to go Mr. President. I don’t like the image of some groups protesting at a funeral in the manner they are. The families have substained tragic losses and need time as friends and family. The Patriot Riders have been great in aiding those families. Now it goes with the backing of law. President Bush marked Memorial Day by signing a bill that keeps demonstrators from disrupting military funerals. [...]

I am not quite sure what the logic of this so called church is. We loose a relatively few soldiers in a war we chose to engage in with the understanding that we would loose soldiers in it and they thing we are being punished for homosexuality. They could have blamed 9/11, or Katrina instead and I would have seen the logic.

Ms Underestimated has a disturbing post up at her site. The post is great and the site is a great one but the disturbing part is the content. It seems that cop socker Cynthia McKinney is hosting some Hip Hop thug fest to help poor disadvantaged youth...

Yes, this will be one of those rare times that I completely agree with Beaming Visionary. This law should have been passed a long time ago before it ever got to this point. And apostle is correct, it isn't "gay" veterans they are protesting, it is all veterans they are the death of.

"Good, but too bad this law wasn’t passed back in the 1990s when Fred Phelps and his crew were “only” protesting gay funerals instead of those of gay veterans."

I agree, this quack should have been shut up years ago. Free speech? Garbage. Especially if its private property. I can't wait to get to Kansas so I can piss them all off.

"protesting gay funerals instead of those of gay veterans."

They aren't protesting the gay veterans, they are grateful for the dead veterans. They claim its God's judgement on America for tolerating gays. I'm not sure what they want us to do, (set them on fire or something I guess)but they've been chanting their stupidity at all different kinds of military funerals, or so I've read. I could be wrong, but either way they need tape over their mouths.
