Babies aborted for not being perfect

Posted on May 29, 2006

According to the Daily Mail, a United Kingdom news service, the ethical storm over abortions is beginning to rise in Britain with the emergence of information that terminations are being carried out for minor, treatable birth defects.

The article in the Daily Mail went on to say that late terminations have been performed in recent years because the babies had club feet, official figures show. If true, these are only minor defects that can be corrected with a simple operation or physiotherapy… Jane Fisher of the charity Antenatal Results and Choices defended the right of parents to terminate pregnancies when defects are found. ‘This is not part of a move towards designer babies,’ she said. Source Daily Mail, Babies aborted for not being perfect.
It is this blogger’s humble opinion that Ms. Fisher appears to be very smug when it comes to infanticide. To think that Hitler and his Nazi regime were the only ones who wanted to produce a perfect race. Just one more sign of the times; the eroding away of human decency, morals, values, and ethics. In our own country the controversy of infanticide and euthanasia is being debated by liberalists, pro-choice, and legal beagles who represent them..

I guess liberals will file this under “progress.”

“when someone resports to comparing something to Nazism”

    You mean “resorts” don’t you?

“but comparing it to the programmed torture and extermination of sentient human beings is crass and silly.”

So how is comparing the prgrammed torture and extermination of sentient human beings different from the programmed torture and extermination of babies? Oh, I forgot, they don’t say “ouch!” so I guess we just assume. Whatever helps you sleep at night.

“I am no abortion fan (most pro choice people also aren’t)”

I can’t speak for you, but most pro-choice people are actually pro abortion. This is illustrated by their constant complaining about abortion regulations that require women to be totally informed before having the procedure. Why are they against a woman being shown a sonogram? Why are they opposed to doctors informing of them of any pain the fetus is feeling? Afraid of the guilt trip? Well, if giving a woman all of the facts induces guilt, that tells us all we need to know about abortion doesn’t it?

Did not Hitler and his Nazi regime attempt to produce a perfect race?” Sounds to me that as the title of the Daily Mail article said, parents are trying to produce the perfect child. I am a father of two adult sons who put me through a lot during their years growing up. But, my wife and I had to love them during their moments of ugliness.

Back to the synopsis, although not specifically compared to Nazism, is not the controversy of infanticide and euthanasia being debated by liberalists, pro-choice, and legal beagles who represent them..

I am only stating my humble opinion. It is up to the reader to feel the innocence or guilt; defend their positions if they are pro-abortion or pro-choice if they chose to.

I am sure there are many well intentioned people who are pro-abortion or pro-choice. I firmly believe to take a life is the last resort. Ask any law enforcement officer.

I find in amusing that some pro-people will go at lengths to protect animal rights (which I firmly support) try to be environmentally sound, but, would not bat an eye at late term abortion or selective breeding of people.

I am sure that I have opened up a can of worms on this. We really should explore the ugliness of the reality infanticide.

As far as being “pro-abortion” is concerned, can you name anyone who’s gone out and gotten pregnant for the sole purpose of terminating the pregnancy?

Speak for yourself, bub! You call yourself a pro-choice liberal? I knocked up 27 chicks then made ‘em all have abortions! Against their wills! And I’m gay, so I didn’t even enjoy having sex with them! And that was all last Thursday! Do your part, man! It’s for the cause! (!)

Where did BV’s response go? Well, anyway BV, you mischaracterized my argument yet again. No, I don’t know anyone who got knocked up just to get an abortion. Respond to my actual argument.

Captain: You as well. Your sarcasm doesn’t refute the fact that liberals apparently DON’T want women to make the most informed decision as possible before having an abortion. If this does not make them pr0-abortion, then what other reason they have for opposing these regulations? If a fetus is feeling pain, (and its been proven they do) doesn’t the woman have a right to know? The whole premise for abortion is that the fetus is not alive. If its not alive, how does it feel pain? In light of all of this Captain, your sarcasm doesn’t really seem all that far fetched.

A meeting of the Eugenics Society was held in the United States at a natural history museum. At that meeting was one of Darwin’s sons and a President of the U.S. It is the same Republican President that aided Hitler to gain power in Germany by demanding that Germany repay their dept to the U.S. Whether that was intentional or not I have no clue.

Planned Parenthood was an ally of the Eugenics Society and the individuals who are killed by legalized abortion are the mostly the same type of victims targeted by the forced sterilization sponsored by the Eugenics movement.
