Why Bush’s Approval Ratings Are At All Time Low

We know that Bush doesn’t pay attention to polls, but with numbers like this maybe he should be a little more introspective, and start thinking about why he was re-elected.

President Bush and the Republican Congress show nearly record low ratings while Democrats are viewed much more favorably in their performance on the issues that matter most to Americans, according to the latest CBS News/New York Times poll.

Only 31% of those polled approve of Mr. Bush’s job performance and 68% believe the United States is worse off today than it was before Mr. Bush became president.

The only mark that isn’t at an all time low is how Bush is handling the war on terror. Mark Tapscott has his ideas of whyConservatives are jumping ship. Mark makes many great points, and it is well worth the read, however I think Bill Quick is more on que with what the majority of Conservatives are concerned about.

Say it with me: Illegal aliens engaged in the crime of crossing our border have no rights! As for the treacherous Bush administration notifiying a foreign power of the actions of homegrown patriots, that goes beyond despicable, and assures that the administration has no further claim on my support whatsoever.

Of course this news is being denied, but Michelle Malkin unravels the spin machine on it. Regardless, the latest news was only the tip of the iceburg in concerns of the American people on the border issue. With reports that Al Qaeda is trying to exploit our border weakness, whether valid or not, Americans are right to be concerned.

To get straight to the point, stop trying to compromise with the left. They hate you just as much as they did when we elected you. Start listening to the concerns of those that put you in office.

I have heard a lot of conservatives saying that they feel betrayed, and that the GOP will not get a dime or a vote from them when election time rolls around. They are all saying that the GOP needs a wake up call, and that if they won’t listen to the concerns of their constituents, then they will sit at home when its time to go to the polls. Bush, and the Republican party needs to wake up, and listen to the people that put them in their position, or the people will put them in their place….and God help us when the liberals are in power. It is scares me to consider the consequences of liberals gaining any more power than they already have, but the do nothing attitude about the borders of many Conservatives including the President is unacceptable.

I am still holding out hope that the voice of the people will be heard in D.C., so I’m urging everyone to make their voice loud. However, Bush has been as stubborn as a mule on this issue and that is quite depressing. If we are going to keep our nation out of the hands of liberals, we have to be united again. One issue Conservatives are united on is protecting our borders. What could re-energize the Conservative movement is to get the President and Congress on board with the people….and lip service will not do.

Wake up and listen to the people, that is what you were elected to do. Fixing the border is a matter of national security. The more lip service you offer, the more disapproval you will get with the people. It is sad that the people are having to do the job you should be doing. Let’s get united again before its too late.

We echo Michelle’s message:

Message to the White House: Stop blaming the messengers. Do us all a favor by ending this travesty and apologizing.

John at Powerline has some free advice for the president.

You know how the Democrats are always after you to admit that you made a mistake? You’ve wisely ignored them; they don’t have your interests at heart, and the policies they’re talking about weren’t mistakes. The time has come, though, to go on national television and say you were wrong, and you’ve changed your mind. About immigration.

Bryan Preston has the right idea of what to send the GOP when they ask for a donation, until they start listening to the people.

One Response to “Why Bush’s Approval Ratings Are At All Time Low”

Bush’s approval ratings are hellishly low because the American public is sick of being lied to about the war and everything else. He’s alienated the traditional conservative voting base, and the only people firmly in his corner are unthinking zealots who would vote for anything with a pulse as long is it spouted pseudopatriotic sound bytes, proclaimed its faith in the Lord, and promised to blow up brown people. A nation of idiots will always have a fair number of such people.

    “We echoe Michelle’s message…”

You echo that lopsided-faced harpy’s fire-breathing ignorance and you also echo Dan Quayle’s spelling acumen.(remember “potatoe”).
