ACLU Still Trying to Gut Patriot Act
The Cape Cod Times reports that the American Civil Liberites Union is holding an “emergency town meeting” in Woods Hole, on Cape Cod. The featured guests will be William Delahunt, who is exactly as liberal as one could expect from a Cape Cod congressman – he made a private deal with lunatic Hugo Chavez for example; and Bob Barr, a former Georgia congressman who is conservative on every issue except actually preventing terrorist attacks on the United States via the Patriot Act.
This is part of the ACLU’s grassroots campaign to overturn the Patriot Act. ACLU lawyers have complained that they fear their calls to international terrorist organizations are being monitored.
