It’s Been A Year… Already

Last March 18 in the evening hours, several bloggers were meeting in a really crappy java script chat room. These bloggers were discussing what could be done about the ACLU. They were discussing what they needed to do to bring awareness to the problems created by this Anti-American organization.

At the time, the newest member of this small group was a member of a blog writing group called Wictory Wednesday which was focused on maintaining conservative control of Congress during the midterm. So this member of this small group of bloggers suggested that they form the same sort of group. And the Stop The ACLU BlogBurst was born.

That night last year we had 8 people in that chatroom when we decided to form this. I remember Kender was on a starvation diet because of Terri Schiavo. He was a little grumpy because, to be honest, he was starving! Jay and I were there. Ironically, I was the newest member of this group of bloggers and the one who suggested the BlogBurst.

Since then, we have grown to a number which we could never have believed we would just 1 year ago. Currently on our blogroll, there are 187 links. It was a big deal for us when we hit 50.

So here’s to us. Happy Birthday BlogBurst. And here’s to many many more.
