ACLU Says South Dakota’s Ban On Abortion Will Endanger Women’s Health and Lives

The American Civil Liberties Union cried about the South Dakota Governor’s decision to sign into law today a ban on all abortion with the exception of saving the mother’s life.

“This extreme ban will threaten the health and lives of women in South Dakota,” said Talcott Camp, Deputy Director, ACLU Reproductive Freedom Project. “History has shown that when women are denied access to abortion care they may resort to desperate measures. Politicians in South Dakota have turned their backs on the women of their state.”

Do we have to hear the whole coat hanger in a back alley stuff again? The ACLU say nothing about the health and lives of unborn babies, because to the ACLU, and all the Ted Kennedys out there an unborn baby is just a lump of cells floating in some fluids. To these folks a developing human life is nothing more than a parasite like a leech attached to the mother’s body.

Abortion should be a States rights issue, decided by those that represent the people, not by some black robed judge. The issue never belonged in Federal Courts, and it still doesn’t. The ACLU have their little pinko panties in a wad because they fear a challenge to Roe vs. Wade in the new make-up of the Supreme Court could very well cause them a lot of loss in profit.

Family Research Council (FRC) President Tony Perkins sums it up well.

This is how our system of government should work. The elected representatives of the people set policy that is reflective of the people they represent. For far too long, elected leaders have based their policy decisions upon how a judge or judges might react to the enacted policy. The South Dakota legislature sent a bold statement to the rest of the nation that the day of judicial intimidation is over; human life will be protected in South Dakota.

“The passage of this law is a reflection of growing pro-life sentiment across the country and points toward a post-Roe era. Technology and information about embryonic and prenatal development have steadily overcome the myths and lies about abortion and the millions of babies whose lives have been destroyed by it. Give the people or their elected representatives a voice and you will find that most of America wants major changes in the abortion-on-demand regime that has stood only by judicial fiat for 33 years.”

It always bothers me to hear the “coat Hanger” story and the effects of back street abortions on women. I used to work at a Hospitale that did “Legal,Safe”
abortions. There were many women of all ages that died from complications of abortion that are never mentioned. Any surgical procedure has risks!!!

You guys really have a problem with honesty if that’s what you do. Say your own points, but don’t put words into other people’s mouths. That’s really scummy and immoral.

[then keep your filth and ignorance in your mouth or spew it on your own blog, you've been around here long enough to know better]
