ACLU Sponsor Moonbat Fest Over NSA Program

Posted on February 26, 2006

This is a photo of moonbat Vicky Leidner who played the part of Lady Liberty in a street performace by the “Raging Grannies” in an anti-wiretapping vigil hosted by the American Civil Liberties Union. She fell to her knees and rolled on the concrete, while the crowd yelled, “Don’t give up!” Then other brightly dressed leftwing loonies came over and started reading the Bill of Rights, which gradually revived her to her feet, with fake blood on her face.

The vigil, sponsored by the ACLU, Code Pink, and the Raging Grannies of San Francisco, featured speakers from various organizations, private citizen testimonies, and the activist flock singing classic tunes with supplanted lyrics for their cause and waving flashlights and electric candles to “shed the light on secrecy.”

“We want accountability, why did he (Bush) skirt the law,” asked Jessie Neufeld, 24, of San Francisco.

The crowd sang, “You better not doubt I’m telling you why, the NSA is spying on you,” instead of Santa Claus is Coming to Town.

According to moveon.org, groups held smaller vigils in Pacifica, Mill Valley, Vallejo, San Leandro, Berkeley, and three in Oakland, including one at Splash Pad Park as a coordinated campaign. The speakers urged people to write letters to Nancy Pelosi urging an independent investigation into the program.

Jeff Mittman repeated the popular false mantra of comparing a program of listening in on the telephone conversations of American citizens talking to suspected members of al Qaeda to illegal wiretapping of Dr. Martin Luther King.

“In the 60’s we spied on Dr. King illegally and in response we passed the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), which is binding on the president. His spying program is not legal.”

Freedom of speech is a beautiful thing. Among many of its glories is that raving moonbats can demonstrate in public and make total idiots out of themselves.

“You better not doubt I’m telling you why, the NSA is spying on you,”

The talent for parody songs these morons have is astoundingly stupid.
