But after the last week, I’ve seen so much crap coming from DEBBIE SCHLUSSEL that I might as well write about it, because she’s already gotten a (momentary) traffic boost from others. First (that I know of), there was the insanity with Misha, where she took offense to Misha’s (typical) colorful language in referring to her. Instead of ignoring it, thin-skinned Debbie threatened Misha with legal action. A LAWSUIT, because Misha called her names. Poor widdle baby. Sorry, but anyone who reads the Anti-Idiotarian Rottweiler knows that language is part of their schtick. Don’t like harsh language? Well, don’t read the Rott. (Actually, you probably aren’t reading this, either, if you don’t like salty language.) But Debbie, not bothering to “know her enemy,” felt singled out, the poor little dear. Follow the links in this order: original post, folllow up posts 1 and 2. Debbie Schlussel, if you can’t take the heat, get the hell outta the kitchen. You’re NEVER going to have everyone agree with or like you. Next, there was the insanity with Beth Donovan. Debbie couldn’t even be bothered to answer her polite emailed question about a story; instead, she took it as an attack and replied to Beth’s email with a bunch of insults and ridiculously confused accusations, and threatened to REPORT HER TO THE FBI. What the [edited]!?! Debbie Schlussel, were you raised by apes? Do you have any concept of manners? Do you ever bother to actually READ what people ask you? And how the hell did you ever get the idea that the Donovans have anything to do with Denmark, or with the Misha kerfluffle? Oh, but that’s not all. The next target was Jay of Stop the ACLU, because Jay committed the Grave Sin™ of linking to Misha’s post about Schlussel (saying something like “I hate it when friends of mine are involved in things like this.”). What was her response? She accused Jay of STEALING donations. In fact, from all other accounts, those who donated for an anti-ACLU “mission” (on which Jay and Debbie were working together) have said that her charge is patently false. Regardless, after Debbie made her accusations and failed to hold up her crucial end of the bargain, Jay offered to return donations to the donors. Has she issued an apology or correction at her site, where she made her accusations? NO. So for all her readers know, Jay is a thief, a con artist. Pretty serious accusations, wouldn’t you say? Debbie Schlussel, what’s your problem? If you ask me, she probably thinks being sharp-tongued makes her like her (obvious) idol, Ann Coulter. She even linked to a moonbat article about how she and Coulter are virtually interchangeable–nevermind it was hardly a flattering article, except for the fact that Debbie Schlussel being described as similar to Coulter is obscenely generous. So I guess for her, it was flattering. So she links to it in an unrelated post, presumably to remind her readers, “look at me! I’m just like Ann!” YOU WISH, hon’. The difference: Ann Coulter is funny, coherent, intelligent, and yes, has a sharp tongue. Debbie Schlussel is never funny, totally incoherent, and seemingly not intelligent, despite her insistence that she’s a member of Mensa (big f’n deal, I’m eligible for it too and so are most of the bloggers I read). Sharp tongue? That’s not an accurate description. More like “[edited].” Or “annoying.” Debbie Schlussel, you are no Ann Coulter. Here’s another example of why I think she tries to be outrageous to get attention like Coulter. The other day, she wrote an article “Your Tax $s to Fund Stomach Operations for Fat Chicks?” FAT CHICKS? Is this supposed to be some kind of cheap knockoff of Coulter’s “raghead” remark? FAT CHICKS? Who the hell is she? Look, I weigh in at a whopping 105 pounds, and I’m pissed about that remark. Some of my closest friends are overweight. Even if that were not the case, I’d still be pissed. And Debbie, you [edited], “fat chicks” aren’t just lazy bums sitting on the couch stuffing mountains of food in their faces. (If that were the case, I’d be a “fat chick” too.) I’m not about to teach Debbie F’n Schlussel in this post about the variety of medical reasons for being overweight or obese–it’s not my job to do the research for her articles, it’s HERS. (And by the way, it’s not just “fat chicks,” it’s the obese–male or female–who get the surgery in question in her ridiculous screed.) If she doesn’t do her research and just writes her knee-jerk reactions, she should EXPECT a negative reaction. I guarantee she’s lost readers with that crack. Frankly, I’ve never been a fan of hers. I always thought she was a pretender, a fluke, a wannabe, a poser. I still don’t get why she has readers or listeners; there are untold thousands who are far better out there. I guess that “blonde conservative woman” thing helps, but damn, she’s an extremely poor example of conservative women, and conservatives in general. She’s embarrassing. I don’t ever want to be lumped in the category of “conservative women” with HER. She belongs in the “deranged media whore” category (note: no implication of actual sex for money implied, Debbie–call off the lawsuit, you ditz). She’s thin-skinned, is notorious for deleting comments at her site from those who challenge her unsupported assertions, and writes as though she’s never heard of authoritative sources.
