WWII Vet Vs. ACLU President

Posted on February 12, 2006

Heh, I found this one enertaining.

Nadine Strossen, the President of the ACLU spoke Bridgewater College on Thursday night focusing on the NSA program. While the audience consisted largely of college students who were supportive of Strossen’s speech, George Hedrick, 80, of Harrisonburg, identified himself as a World War II combat veteran and someone who was “totally against” Strossen.

“In my lifetime, the two worst things that ever happened to the United States are 9-11 and the American Civil Liberties Union,” he said.

Hedrick also took issue with something that Strossen had brought up in the days leading up to the speech, but not during the speech itself. Strossen at one point had challenged conservatives to imagine what might happen if the ability to wiretap were not in the hands of President Bush, but a hypothetical President Hillary Clinton.

“If we don’t collect the right amount of intelligence, Hillary Clinton might not even be around when those missiles start flying and those buildings start falling,” he said of Bush’s critics. “They’re tying the president’s hands behind him, and then saying, ‘Protect me.’”

It’s their only way to power, Cause the Republicans to fail and then point out how bad they are.

One decent and brave man standing up for what is right. Makes you proud of him and ashamed of the ACLU.

“Do what ever the President wants, or you will die a horrible death at the hands of the Evil Doers!”

    P.S.
    Don’t look behind the curtain…

The only wire taps Hillary would approve would be to spy on US citizens who she perceived as political enemies. The Clintons di this through the use of private detectives during Mr. Clinton’s administration. Not a peep from the opposition.

Woman of the world look out. You may also be wiretapped; if you look like you are looking at Bill.
