Diamond not just in the rough, but out of bounds
Posted on February 8, 2006
Error Theory has an excellent post up about Stanford Professor Larry Diamond’s lawsuit against NSA spying.
Diamond’s statement on the ACLU website is replete with unfounded accusations of lawbreaking. Does it really not dawn on this professor that presidents have always had the power under our Constitution to intercept enemy communications in time of war? Where is he a professor again? Unbelievable.
No Mr. Diamond, what you say to people who are suspected of being terrorists is not a private matter between you and them. It is a matter of national security. You should have the grace to welcome surveillance, and save your ire for those who betray our secrets, instead of maliciously slandering the President who is working within the Constitution to defend our nation.

Unfounded accusations of lawbreaking? What else is new. According to most of these elitist pinheads, everything government does in the name of National Security is illegal.
Being a professor, like any other so called educational endeavor, is nothing more than completing a course of study. It has nothing to do with intellectual capacity or intelligence.
Middle Class Guy I totally agree with you. There are too many people getting an education that have no common sense to use it. Therefore we call them educated idiots.
