Quakers, Babies, and Nuns

Posted on February 6, 2006

huh?
Expose the Left has a video of Leahy at the terrorist surveillance hearings saying:

My concern is for peaceful Quakers who are being spied upon, and other law-abiding Americans and babies and nuns who are placed on terrorist watch lists.”

What he was talking about was allegations by the ACLU that Quakers and anti-war zealots were spied on by the FBI. These activities have nothing to do with the NSA program or foreign intelligence. The FBI may monitor anyone’s activities in public and they should monitor the activities of people or organizations that threaten or actually cause physical damage.

The remark about babies and nuns, I imagine refers to the no-fly list. What either of these have to do with the NSA issue, I have no idea.

The beauty of this whole thing is that the Senate Dems so damaged themselves in the Roberts and Alito hearings, that nobody can take them seriously anymore.

For sure Senate Dems damaged themselves over the Supreme Court hearings. BUT, please don’t underestimate them. They control all the mainstream media and are making inroads at Fox News. President Bush still seems to fawn over the liberals and their MSN (or is it the MSM and their liberals?). Witness the White House response to the cartoon war and their putting appeasement of Islam before freedom of speech. If you add the gang of 14 and the other RINOS they still hold a majority of the Senate. So, please be careful. We need at least one more Supreme Court justice, a dozen senators, and who knows how many in the house before the GOP would have a solid majority.

Leahy is a special type of dufus, in my opinion, and I can’t believe he went on about Quakers and nuns and babies being on terror watch lists. I’m sure the NSA is tapping fisher-price phones as we speak.

“What does goo-goo ga-ga mean? It sounds like it might be about a terrorist attack.”

I have trolled several left wing websites and found none who were not furious at the Muslims for their barbaric response to those cartoons.

A friend found a Muslim-friendly left wing site, but it was fascistic communist types. One totalitarian loves another, I guess.

But everyone who loves liberty is pretty much united around the idea that the Muslims have destroyed their very last shred of credibility. The one guy holding the sign that says “Freedom go to hell” sort of said it all.

While I agree with Sonja, I do not see how your comment has anything to do with Quakers, Nuns, or babies.

    Do Quakers even use phones?

Perhaps, but not that many babies do.
