They do not believe that government has the right to wage wars, execute criminals or legislate morality. They also hold that religion is a private and not a public expression. The anarchist movement often allied with the communist and socialist against the capitalist. They also were and still are heavy into labor unions, which is probably where they came up with the inspiration for the Union part of their name.
