We laid the concept of John Kerry as a person of critical influence to rest in 2004. His intentions appeared to be sincere but the delivery, in large part due to his personality, was fatally flawed. John Kerry in the role of a standard-bearing Democratic strategist is laudible but laughable. I totally agree with the Bushies that when Dems attack, it is usually the present Dem incarnation that is injured. The present Democratic "leadership" seems more like an aggregate of charicatures than real leaders and the Republican media/tricksters need to do very little to assist this peception. As politically incorrect as it may seem, any viable political force in US at this time (except in the biggest cities) needs to recognize that you win when you assume that the electorate is laughably gullible and eventually accepts as gospel anything that is repeated incessantly in phrases rather than complete sentences. We love the aura of infallibility in our leaders. We love a stage presence--my parents used to call this "play acting." We despise anyone who contradicts our firmly-held beliefs and are comfortable in being able to brag that we can kick anyone's ass at any time. We cower when we hear that if we support ABB (anyone/anything but Bush) our demise may be imminent. And when we hear stuff like that 9/11 Commision report (way too long and with small print), no WMD, FEMA/Katrina, something called a budget deficit, Scooterville Libby, Jack Abramoff, all that energy company brouhaha, Joseph Wilson/Valerie Plame and a booming economy for some--well, we'll get ugly angry because this is just playing politics, by God. Blogs and print media are entertaining but are relatively ineffective in moving the masses, and Karl and the boys have played that fiddle expertly for years. Lastly, terror comes in many forms. That recent extemporaneous press conference by Mr. Bush has me aquiver. Sir, with all due respect, I don't think that your constant admonition that we "need to understand" is really needed now. You are in trouble precisely because we as nation are understanding more every day. I thought we had elected Rocky Balboa, but what I saw more resembled Ozzie Osbourne. That's sheer terror!

Kerry was touring India and Pakistan during the nomination hearings. Now he is in Davos, probably with his main financier, George Soros, the economic terrorist. He is waging a battle from overseas.

If he thought it was so important, he would be here. But being the coward that he truely is, he is overseas, spewing out statements and getting his marching orders from the mad billionaire.

If he really believes that the Alito filibuster and defeat is so vital to the country, he better take a Swift Boat back here and DO HIS JOB, the one we are paying him for.

Bring it on John. Let's go to the mat. Kerry wants to filibuster the Alito vote. I say, bring it on. On television. The whole thing. First and formsot it will accomplish what the Democrats love, wasting more of our tax dollars.

More importantly, rather most importantly, it will let the whole country see how mean spirited and petty the Democrats are. It will show us all how truely dangerous John Kerry and his ilk are. It will give a major boost to the Repulicans.

Let's have the bread and circus. Let the clowns have their day.

I want to reflect Senator Reid's sentiments - "let's hope this doesn't lead to more talking." They've had time to consider the nominee and now it's time to do their job - "advise and consent" on the nominee. Vote on Judge Alito's qualifications and give Americans an answer - a filibuster will not accomplish anything other than further party divides.

Calling for a filibuster was a poor political move on Kerry's part if he has any desires to run in '08. It' about time we get this qualified nominee confirmed and on the bench. This has dragged on for long enough!!!
