Offended now? I hope so!!! I hope I have offended you to the point that you leave this site and never return. Not a very “Christian” like attitude is it? Hoping that you turn away and hold to your beliefs and not even trying to save you isn’t very Christian like, since Christians are supposed to teach the Love of God, Mercy and Forgiveness, but the realistic, pragmatic side of me knows that if mere words are going to offend you then you have a closed mind AND a closed heart, and the beliefs that are held by someone have such a small chance of intruding upon your system as to be almost non-existent, so why bother?
Christian Faith demands WORK, for without work, Faith is dead. Is my faith dead? Hardly. But my work does NOT involve converting non-believers. My work is more immediate than worrying about the souls of our enemies. Christianity IS under attack, and the ACLU is leading the way with the bullying tactics they use against small towns and individuals, and they grow stronger EVERY SINGLE DAY!!!
Their membership is up, revenues are up and an internal war seems to be raging over the tactics of their current leader Romero.
I was going to write up a bit here about this story in WND. It is about a town that is angry with a supervisor for denouncing the use of Jesus’ name at the lighting of the Christmas tree event.
He apparently worried that someone would get mad that His name was invoked at the ceremony. The town is resolving it, but what strikes me is the fact that another damed politician was so PC and so fearful of backlash at the mention of the Name “Jesus” that he would make an ass of himself as he did.
JESUS!!!!!

I have never once been offended by the symbols of another religion, be it Islam, Judaism, Enviromentalism or any other religion, (and don’t doubt that “enviromentalism” is a religion), even though I don’t agree with what they teach, they have the right to teach it as long as they don’t harm another.
But the Secular movement in America IS doing harm. They are trying to destroy the CULTURE of this country, trying to run it down the secular path that europe has taken, charging headlong into a world where life is almost worthless and euthanasia is an acceptable action, since in a secular society socialism becomes the norm and people are only worth what they can contribute to society.
The ACLU is leading this charge, and the seductive siren song of secularism draws more people in each year, luring them into the false belief that a world without religion, specifically Christianity, is a world where equality will reign.
That is a false belief and an unattainable and unnatural goal.
At the request of Romeocat, and for no other reason than to offend the last of you that may have read this far:

We Christians are supposed to tolerate all the other faiths and ideologies, but the ACLU begrudges us a proper celebration of Christmas. Makes me angry!

You need to re-read—strike that, READ, since you don’t appear ever to have actually READ the Bible with comprehension — the gospel of Mark. Especially, have someone explain Mark 3: 28-30 to you. Evolution is proven scientific fact. Intelligent design/creationism is pseudoscience/nonsense. It has always amazed me how supposedly intelligent adults reject modern scientific knowledge yet blindly accept 2000 year old myths and superstitions.
One has but to read Numbers 31 to see the cruelty and arrogance of the christian god. Why would anyone worship a god who sends billions of people to suffer forever in a burning hell simply because they were raised to believe in a different faith? Why would anyone worship a vain, vengeful, jealouse, arrogant, cruel being such as the so-called god of christianity.
I wish people would wake up and think for themselves instead of blindly accepting archaic myths and superstitions.
