Pieces of Marble Fall From Supreme Court (VIDEO)
Posted on November 28, 2005
WASHINGTON – A basketball-sized piece of marble molding fell from the facade over the entrance to the Supreme Court Monday, landing on the steps near visitors waiting to enter the building.
No one was injured when the stone fell. The marble was part of the dentil molding that serves as a frame for sculptural figures. The piece that fell was over the figures, near the peak of the building, and to the right of the figure of Liberty, who has the scales of justice on her lap.
A group of visitors had just entered the building and had passed under the pediment when the stone fell at 9:30 a.m. EST.

Confirm Them notes: Coincidentally, the fracture occurred directly above the word “UNDER.” As mentioned previously at this site, the founders of this country intended the courts to do justice under law, and not over it.

The Part that fell was just above the word ‘UNDER’?
Could it be seen as the metaphoric ‘God’ as in “under God”, interpretted as God coming down hard on us if we take Him out of our pledge and society in general?
Nah… couldn’t be.
