There is much to be thankful for to be sure, but one thing on my list of resolutions is to vote out the Republican incumbents of my state. We've waited years to get the Congress and Presidency we have today and they are sitting on their hands. Fag marriage on nation wide votes have been shot down by the majority, yet states still get away with it. Abortion could be completely illegal by now, social security could take a walk off the cliff, public education and every other un-Constitutional policy could be gone. But our Republican "conservatives", including the President, refuse to act like Republicans, and instead play politics. Alito's nomination was a step in the right direction, but Bush for some reason doesn't seem capable of making an adequate case for the war in Iraq to the American people anymore, and just lets liberal idiots spin whatever they want. Bush got the support for the war before and even got re-elected because of it, yet decides that the middel ground is the best ground. I'll be thanking God (while its still legal) for the great country I live in, but with full expectation that the Republican "conservatives" will continue to piss on my head and tell me its raining.
