Kennedy: Alito Filibuster is Not in the “Playbook” (VIDEO)
RUSSERT: Filibuster. You think the Democrats will mount a filibuster?
KENNEDY: Well, first of all this is like the Buffalo Bills giving their playbook to the New England Patriots, if you think we’re going to give away our playbook prior to the time of a nomination. It’s too early, too early in the game, it’s too early in the process and I think I don’t hear that talk outside of the press quite frankly, from the members in the — on our committee or in the Senate. I think people want to give him a full opportunity to appear before the committee — make any judgment at that time, that’s a long ways down. People are concentrated on the hearings, I don’t hear really that talk, but you don’t eliminate any option at this time in the process.
A playbook? This just goes to show that the only agenda Democrats have is to oppose conservative judicial nominees.
