ACLU Protecting Sex Offender’s Halloween Rights

LANSING (AP) – A state lawmaker wants to ban sex offenders from Halloween. State representative Fran Amos of Waterford introduced a bill that would prohibit convicted sex offenders from handing out candy.

Offenders also could not have their porch lights on for trick-or-treating on October 31st or any other date set for Halloween by a local government.

Amos said the bill will keep sex offenders from having easy access to trusting children.

There is not enough time for the bill to become law in time for this Halloween, which is Monday.

Shelli Weisberg of the ACLU said the bill is part of a trend of legislation that unfairly targets convicted sex offenders. She also said it was unconstitutional.Source

The ACLU are such an intelligent bunch aren’t they? Sex offenders like candy and trick or treating too. Now why in the world would someone not want a convicted sex offender to disguise themselves, and lurk around the neighborhoods with all of children? Once again, the ACLU are looking out for freedom.

O.K. thats enough sarcasm for me today. Another typical, and predictible position of the ACLU, to protect the most perverted scum in society to be able to prowl the streets for victims. Seems that whenever an official tries to protect the general public, especially children, the ACLU want to obstruct them. Another ACLU trick for a pedophile treat. Makes me sick.

Holy Halloween Irony! Riehlword View points us to Kid’s hooker Halloween Constumes!!!! What kind of parent would dress their kids up like this?

Here, this ought to cheer you up.

All you so-called “conservatives” surely know that they don’t come much more conservative than the Cato Institute, at least on fiscal policy. Well the Cato Institute has concluded that George W. Bush and the Republican Congressional Majority has been viciously screwing you, me and every other ordinary American. Don’t take my word for it, read the article yourself, if you have the stomach for it.

Oh, if only we COULD stop the ACLU & any other idiot out there who agrees with this crap! As far as I’m concerned when you molest children you are a second class citizen & you HAVE NO RIGHT to ANY privacy.

I don’t think the issue is this, in particular. I think anyone can see that this (by itsel) is somewhat harmless. But the fact is, once you start setting up second class citizens, things just go downhill.

“THEY CAME FIRST for the Communists,
    and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Communist.
THEN THEY CAME for the Jews,
    and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a Jew.
THEN THEY CAME for the trade unionists,
    and I didn’t speak up because I wasn’t a trade unionist.
THEN THEY CAME for the Catholics,
and I didn’t speak up because I was a Protestant.
    THEN THEY CAME for me,
and by that time no one was left to speak up.”

So Nathan…You speaking up for pedophiles?
Think they’re a litle oppressed and vicitmized, do ya?

That quote isn’t about criminal child molesters, it’s about Nazis dragging away ordinary citizens. That makes no sense in this context.

Last night was trick or treat in my area. We finished up early and headed home with the kids piled in the back stuffing themselves with the ‘goods’ they had collected. As we pasted a road just a few blocks from my own house- I peered out the window. Looking down to the house just a few doors from the road- I was taken back to see the group of kids standing there, dressed up as cute as could be, knocking on the home of a registered sex offender.
My husband being the non conflict type of person refused to let me out of the car. Admittedly I can be a little over zealous in these matters. So I had to reserve myself and wait the two minutes to come home and CALL THE POLICE.

I’m sorry but if you are some sicko child rapist- you have no freaking right passing out candy to kids. And if passing out candy was so dang important of a holiday for ya- perhaps you should have kept your filthy hands to yourself.

And by the way Nathan, I don’t think sex offenders are second class citizens- that mean I would have to consider them something more than the sub human scum life that they are. Perverts have no right to have children parading in front of their house and up to their door just so they can have an easier time getting their jollies off that night.

Knowing as we do that the ACLU was founded by a communist with boldly admitted communist intentions, no abheration of any kind on their part should come as a surprise.

Our capitalist republic is the antithesis of communism, and there’s no way they could convince anyone but the usual minority of wingnuts that communism is better than what we have. Like the Beatles said, “And if you go carrying pictures of Chairman Mao, you ain’t gonna make it with anyone anyhow.”

So they have to chew away at the nation from within, breaking down our moral fabric bit-by-bit, attacking religion(except Islam, because our greatest enemy is a Muslim enemy), defending evil and perverse victimizers of children, anything to erode the decency of our society. They fight against “racial profiling” of Arab males who fit the criteria of possible suicide bombers because it’s in their best interests to have a little of the chaos in America that accompanies explosions in crowds of people, and would make it appear that Bush and a Republican majority on the Hill aren’t competent to protect the country. So they obstruct our security efforts.

Just like the rest of the left, who want government control over everything, also want our guns taken away and religion suppressed.

Sounds an awful lot like this place they used to call the USSR.

I’m just curious to know if this moron with the ACL-f’n-U has children. One of my good friends put away one of these child rapists and has told me that he would love to see how these ACL-f’n-U lawyers would like to have a “visit” from one of these child rapists. Maybe take her kids out for a soda or something….bet this moron would change her tune real quick.

Phil I think you should go back to school so you can learn how to comprehend what your read? Yes, Bush is breaking the traditional Conservative establishement of less Gov’t and spending. But now where in the article does it speak about screwing us, that would be your own “inncorrect” interpetation. But I have said to much..Phil, if you like we can debate this. Come get some.

I applaud you Nathan….You have the courage to stand up for what is right. If any one took the time to read all the facts they would see that the recidivism rate is about 5%. If you want to know the truth check out http://www.sohopeful.org/
We all have rights or am I mistaken??? Once we have served our time on any other crime, we are aloud to move on with our lives….Unfortunatley most sex offenders are not the ugly monsters hiding behind the bushes….they are the people we know, family members….and maybe even the people who go on line adamently convicting sex offenders…it seems to me that those who protest the most are usually the ones who have had the thoughts themselves. I believe we need to protect our children…but I also believe that education starts in the home. We as parents have a responsibility to educate our children as best as we can.

Tell the truth about child molesters or you to afraid of the liberals that will go after you Don’t be afraid do what is right for the country and the children. the fact is the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, liberal bed-wetters cause these problems in our society to day and it started with the gays. Look back in history, gays where persecuted, ridacuted and put to shame and even imprisoned before we where even a country.People felt that gay acts and being gay was amoral and now they feel that it’s ok because the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, liberal bed-wetters started whining that the gays have rights. In some states it is legal for gays to get married, and it’s ok for them to adopt children. The words you are speaking are the same words that was spoking in the past about gays. So keep hammering on these people and you will have the terminally whiny, guilt ridden, delusional, liberal bed-wetters repeating history.Albert Einstein wrote, “The problems that exist in the world today can not be solved by the level of thinking that created them.most Americans or in denial or, simply shut their eyes from seeing The truth. Those that do see are cowering in the dark, knowing full well what awaits them if they speak out. A few are speaking out, but only a few, Americans may be able to hear them during a commercial break, while watching another inane sitcom or perhaps another sports extravaganza. That is provided, they aren’t doped up or drunk to see The truth.

I am not a racist or anything like that this is the truth and if you or going to maeck comments about society and it’s problems at least Tell the truth about how the break down in or society began

The biggest misconception is that every Sex Offender is a Child Molester. This is not the case.
