Nazi March Cancelled After Police Disperse Protesters
TOLEDO, Ohio (AP) – Police used tear gas to break up a rock-throwing crowd that had gathered to protest a planned march Saturday by the National Socialist Movement.
At least two dozen members of a Roanoke, Va.-based group that calls itself “America’s Nazi Party” had gathered at Wilson Park just before noon and were to march under police protection.
Violence erupted about one-quarter of a mile away along the planned route on Mulberry near Central. Baseball-sized rocks lay in the street as the gas dissipated.
An NBC24 crew on scene reported that numerous vehicles, including several media vehicles, were vandalized by protesters. Simon Shaykhet said the situation was “crazy” as protesters gathering in the area of Central and Stickney. Police continued to use tear gas to break-up the crowd.
Authorities announced through a loudspeaker on a police helicopter that they were canceling the march and telling people to leave the area.
Absolutely scary! The police protecting a group that I’m sure they would much rather be beating with nightsticks. As you all know, we don’t agree with socialists or Nazis at all here. Free speech for all we do agree with, as does the left. I wanted to post this because it is an example of hate speech, something many on the left feel should be censored. What do you think?

The irony in all this is the Ne-Nazis said they wanted to protest the increased gang activity in this neighborhood. Far be it from me to side with Nazi anything, but it seems tto me he rioters made the Nazis point. *sigh*
