God Bless America Signs Offend The Ever So Sensitive Atheists

An atheist group is complaining about two signs posted outside a city hall in New York state that declare “God Bless America.”
But the signs hung by a Long Island official outside the town hall of Babylon, N.Y., are perfectly legal, according to a group specializing in constitutional law that has volunteered to defend them.
“The phrase ‘God bless America’ does not violate the Constitution,” said Gary McCaleb, senior counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund.
I’m getting tired of this whole, it offends one person so its unconstitutional crap. Its getting old real fast. What can I say about it that I haven’t said before? Here’s what to do, start making God Bless America signs and putting them in your yards. Maybe we can offend a few more athiests. Do it now, and scream it, “GOD BLESS AMERICA!” Do it while you still can, before some judge declares it unconstitutional!

“God Bless America” sign in your yard, on your church lawn, or other private property- all fine and dandy.
“God Bless America” sign on government property = government sponsorship of religion.
Is the government permitted to sponsor religion?
The government is not permitted to establish a specific religion. Many religions believe in “God”.
I’m so ready to go get about 1,000 of those “God Bless America” magnets and put them on my car – and then park it on government property. Just to be a smarty pants. Heh!

I have not “blessed America” any more than I bless a bird or the innocent dead in foreign lands. You profane me by ascribing me to a political purpose, a social cause or a system of government. I gave you life and free will and I alone reserve the right to put your eternal soul into its eternal place. So stop the ACLU or don’t stop it, I alone know the heart of your inner conscience and will use it in my judgement. If you have belief in my spirit and my all-knowing “intelligent design” you know that my grace and perfection can easily embrace the ACLU, pro-choicers, terrorism and punishment of the wicked. That’s MY place in the scheme of things – yours is to exercise as much love and compassion for my creations in your own personal sphere. Stop telling the world what me or my supposed sons are supposed to be or do…you can’t even prove I exist! (outside of this post)

Did you ever notice that the lower case t looks like a cross in some fonts? As an athiest, it offends me greatly that the US government uses the lower case t routinely in documents! This is a blatant violation of church/state separation.
The lawsuit should start soon, as the ACLU has picked up the case for me. I tried to get them to help me getting the capital C removed as well (the muslim crescent), but they said they only go after christianity
