WASHINGTON, Oct. 13 /Christian Wire Service/ — The National Clergy Council and Faith and Action, two Washington, DC based organizations, will soon launch a campaign to expose the actions of the ACLU in a case involving the display of the Ten Commandments outside public schools in rural Adams County, Ohio.

After a seven-year legal battle, the ACLU succeeded in having the Ten Commandments displays forcibly removed, then sued this tiny, struggling school district for reimbursement of expenses. The court honored a settlement of $80,000.

The Reverend Rob Schenck (pronounced SHANK) of the National Clergy Council released this statement today:

“Adams County is one of the poorest areas in Ohio with over 17% living in poverty, a nearly 8% unemployment rate and an adjusted per capita income of only $17,000. The ACLU takes in over $100 million each year and sits on top of nearly $180 million in income generating investments, meaning a low of $9 million in return. It is outrageous and obscene for a multi-million dollar corporation to pick the pockets of school children to add to their pot of gold.”

The combined campaign called “Operation Expose” will recruit tens of thousands of petitions from concerned citizens making three demands:

1) That the ACLU withdraw its claim on the kids of Adams County, OH.

2) That the federal courts cease acting as collection agents for the ACLU.

3) That concerned citizens act to stop abusive practices that enrich groups like the ACLU.

Reverend Schenck will personally deliver the collected petitions to ACLU headquarters and to the federal courts. He will also hold a public news conference in front of ACLU headquarters at the time of delivery.

Rev. Schenck is available for comment at 202-546-8329, extension 106, or, off hours at 703-447-1072 and 703-447-7686.

You go, Rev! It’s great when Americans stop doing the same old usual and letting the ACLU get away with murder.

The ACLU didn’t take money from those children, the school board did. Displaying the ten commandments outside a school is a blatant F–k you to any student that isn’t christian and is illegal. I’m sure the ACLU sent many letters and made many phone calls asking for the display to be removed before suing. By refusing to obey the law the school board forced the ACLU to sue and they should have to reimburse.
If the school district is struggling it is because conservative politicians have tied school funding to local sources and send hundreds of billions of dollars overseas to fight unnecessary wars. Instead of spending it on our children.

Since when are the 10 Commandments Christian? If memory serves me right, the 10 Commandments were delivered to the people of Israel via Moses, a Jew. So your contention Brian the troll that displaying them “is a blatant F–k you to any student that isn’t christian” just doesn’t hold water. Legalities, that is another story.

The legalities only come into question when the jackals of the legal profession, the ACLU decides to shop around for a liberal activist judge in the federal court system to make themselves a little cash.

This law that they have prostituted into a money making machine for them, is holding every small town and cash strapped community by the family jewels. We seek to end that.

So it is time to sober up Brian the troll. Start to think for yourself.

    Well Prescott Bush,

I’m a contributor here moron. I’m a co-founder and the administrator of the Stop The ACLU BlogBurst idiot.

And I can actually remove your ability to comment here.

    Want to battle me?

And By The Way… Don’t be using other people’s websites as links. Link with an opinion based blog or shut up.

And if you are going to call me names idiot, learn proper punctuation or how to spell. It’s Gribbit not Gribbits.

You’ve picked a fight with the wrong guy.

Let me explain. I agree with Gribbit most often, and disagree with idiots like you and Brian. However, most of the time you will find that I don’t even address idiots. I put up with just about everything here…I thought you would understand what freedom of speech is.

I discourage name calling like you have done, and I will not tolerate any kind of profanity, not that you used any, just warning you.

I highly recommend you either civilly debate, or go away. Name calling does nothing to gain respect here.

Just so everyone knows, this Prescott Bush moron started this crap at my blog this week. He left 2 rather inflamitory comments on one of my posts and I’m even less patient on my own blog with idiots who don’t link to an opinion based blog.

In other words, he’s trying to get even here.

    71.112.143.140 has been banned at Gribbit’s Word…
