It’s American
Posted on September 25, 2005
Last year, the ACLU ran some commercials called “It’s American” in what seems to be an attempt to frighten our fellow citizens about law enforcement efforts to fight terrorism. The CourtZero crew thought it ironic that the organization that is so very afraid of Boy Scouts (see Jay’s post below) and is terrified over the notion that any citizen might see the words “that shalt not kill” on public land spends enormous amounts of money to run ads to convince us to throttle back on law enforcement efforts to keep from getting killed by terrorists.
Now, this is old — the audio link below was produced on the fly in December of 2004 — but maybe it’s time to dust it off and listen again. I hope you enjoy it. Click here to listen to our version of “It’s American”.
Jay’s trying to convince me to link to some home movies CourtZero has created about the ACLU, but our desire to not expose more of our amateur efforts to the light of day precludes that. For now.
