Alliance of the Anonymous. I’ve got a few trolls that should go join up.

Also, check out the The Blogwire. I don’t know who they are, but they linked to us, and the site looks really cool. It looks like a drudge report except for blogs. I like it, and added it to my links to visit daily.

Please tell phin that John Wayne was not a phish.

nope, there was a massive shake-up. lots of zombies got removed after the wave of people got into blogging after the 2004 election season. a lot of them have stopped, moved on, or caught on fire. like I know what they are doing.

but I can tell you what a lot of people aren’t: blogging.

I wrote that more as me being TOTALLY jealous of everybody else ahead of me. especially that Stop the ACLU guy, I mean, who does he think he is?

beside Mortal Human, I mean. you know what I mean.

  2. Jay on August 28th, 2005 1:00 am

I know what you mean. The mortal human thing has gotta be a fluke. And besides that…I’ve noticed a lot of people just abandoning their blogs and stuff. Slower traffic, etc.

See there, now I’m back to Playful Primate.

Image: of course american citizens have a right to legal counsel.

“Image: of course american citizens have a right to legal counsel.”

That pretty much reveals YOUR view of AMERICANS!

“That pretty much reveals YOUR view of AMERICANS! ”

    What are you talking about?

  7. Jay on August 28th, 2005 7:35 pm

No fark, the question is what are you talking about?

  8. Jay on August 28th, 2005 8:02 pm

OK, fark, from what I can gather, you are trying to interpret the cartoon here.

I’ve come to three possible conclusions of what you are trying to say.

    1. The devil is an American citizen.

    2. You are comparing American citizens to the devil.

    3. You absoultely have no sense of humor, or common sense.

    I think it #3

  9. fark on August 28th, 2005 8:30 pm

#4 is that of course american citizens have a right to counsel. Actually, even non-citizens would too.

I have no idea what the joke is that the ACLU thinks the devil is an american citizen. I doubt they have an opinion on that.

  10. Jay on August 28th, 2005 8:39 pm

Fark, why am I bothering? Go look at the cartoon again, you know the one you are commenting about? I know you can see it, otherwise you wouldn’t be talking about an American Citizen having right to legal counsel. You see the guy in the cage? the one with horns? that is what the joke is about.

We all know that American citizens have a right to legal counsel, so mark that up as one we agree on.

non-citizens…you might want to do a little research on that one.

  11. nadom on August 28th, 2005 9:15 pm

Jay if he knew how to research he might be smarter than he is.

  12. fark on August 28th, 2005 10:44 pm

” the one with horns? that is what the joke is about.”

And apparently the ACLU thinks that someone who is captured has a right to counsel, wrongly on the basis of their citizenship.

“non-citizens…you might want to do a little research on that one.”

Preliminarily, we can look at the test of the constitution. Ammendment 7 says ‘in all criminal prosecutions’ and then lists among others, the right to counsel. No limitation to citizens is in the text. It clearly says all prosecutions. Which would include that of non-citizens.

What’s the result of your research?

  13. Jay on August 28th, 2005 11:48 pm

So, what you are saying is that even if the devil is not a U.S. citizen, he should still have legal counsel?

  14. fark on August 28th, 2005 11:51 pm

“So, what you are saying is that even if the devil is not a U.S. citizen, he should still have legal counsel? ”

I don’t think there is a devil, so its a bit of a trick question for me. But even the catholics used to have a ‘devil’s advocate’. On the subject of citizens and others having counsel, the constitution is pretty clear.
