Upon further investigation into the filter, it seems that Jay has it set to kick out comments that include 2 or more links. This is why yours got bounced. They contain 2 links. I will approve the first one that you submitted and delete the rest.

Here is the reason why your posts won’t show up, the automatic filter found something in the language that you used and sent it to moderation. And until now, no one with moderator status has checked it.

Why is it you morons cannot get it through your heads, if it doesn’t go through, it gets moderated. Not all comments on this site get moderation. Only those that the filter kicks out. And it is a software thing has nothing to do with a human. But after it gets kicked to moderation…. it’s all us baby.

OK, Jay, here is what I found. The only ACLU Position Paper that I could find (dated Fall 1999) does not contain anything about pornography. This letter from the ‘Internet Free Speech’ section of their website discusses their position on child pornography:

“The ACLU opposes child pornography that uses real children in its depictions. Material, however, which is produced without using real children, and is not otherwise obscene, is protected under the First Amendment.”

The second part of that quote means that the ACLU supports freedoms already established by the Constitution and upheld by the Supreme Court in decisions such as Ashcroft v. Free Speech Coalition, 535 U.S. ____ (2002).

I think many of you have a distorted view of what the ACLU is. If you would just read some material about what they actually do and stand for, perhaps you would have a better understanding. See http://www.aclu.org/about/

If we tallied up all the cases where the ACLU has argued against government interference/regulation and then in favor of government interference/regulation I wonder which side would win?

If the ACLU does indeed work to make man a slave to the State then it would reason that our tally would show the ACLU largely favoring government interference/regulation. Right?
