re: "the right to say a prayer before a ball game"

There is no constitutional right to force a captive audience to listen to your religion's prayer in a public space.

What we do here in Texas is have a moment of silence before the game. The other thing you could legally do is what Congress and the Texas Legislature do, which is invite religious leaders of every religion to open with prayer on a rotating basis. Since us rednecks don't wanna listen to prayers to Osama's god at our American football games, we do the moment of silence and it works just fine.

What does piss me off is the whole San Diego aquatics center thing with the Boy Scouts. The proper people to sue was the City of San Diego for not having an open bidding process for the property. BSA didn't do a damn thing wrong. BSA's anti-gay policy is wrong, IMO, but that doesn't mean they need to be hassled at every legal corner. I mean, hell, would the ACLU sue the local VFW for running the Aquatics center since they discriminate against people who aren't veterans of foreign wars? Come on...

You now what, you all are to stupid and potentially dangerous. I in good conscience can not ignore this. I have sent an email to the fbi as well as to Senator Kerrys office. We will see how he percieves your Free Speech.

I dont think it is libel. The tone of the language on that blog combined with that photo is tantamount to a threat on Senator Kerry. I dont agree with the president but I would NEVER go to that extreme. It is reckless dangerous and against the law. If you don think so post your full name and support of the photo on caos blog and wait for the FBI to come knockin!

ROB, get a clue, it not a threat, it's free speech. You don't have the cahones to take Cao or us on, so go climb back under the rock from whence you came, and leave people alone. We have the right to free speech, and you have the right not to look or listen, so please, evoke that right and do so. We will promptly return the favor.
