That's it... Put your rights on the floor and walk away slowly...

Just a little inconvenience here and there... nothing to worry about...

Here, watch some WWF and "According to Jim" while we properly invest your Social Security dollars...

History will hate you all for your ignorant complacence.

It seems to me that we have put up with restrictions on our travel when it comes to flying and no one has said anything too bad about it. It only makes sense that steps be taken that would ensure the masses and if a few toes get stepped on so be it.

Like BobG said earlier, if the IRA was bombing here in the states, I'd expect to be looked at. I'm a fair complected, blue eyed, white male of Irish decent.

I believe that the good God fearing people of the Islamic faith in this country understand our plight. And they are just as anxious as the rest of us are.

A little inconvenience for the sake of security in these times is not too much to ask for.

But that is just my opinion.

“The police can and should be aggressively investigating anyone they suspect is trying to bring explosives into the subway,” said Christopher Dunn, associate legal director at the New York Civil Liberties Union. “However, random police searches of people without any suspicion of wrongdoing are contrary to our most basic constitutional values. This is a very troubling announcement.”

Jay - that's a trap if ever I heard it. The ACLU saying that random searches are not right but allude to profiling? Just try it, someone. The minute you do, the ACLU will be suing on the other end, in defense of the person who was profiled. ACLU = damned if you do, damned if you don't.

Welcome to the new home of the Brownshirts. I hate to be anonymous, but I don't trust you guys not to turn into a bunch of raging vigilantes who go after anybody who questions their point of view. Which, by the way, is why we have the ACLU.

Luckily, the absurd ruling by the NYC federal judge was ultimately overturned on appeal. This case just shows how pervasive the influence of groups like the ACLU is in this region of the country. I'm just getting started on this group, and what they actually stand for vs. what they claim to stand for. Keep up the good work, and I'll keep doing the same.

Random searches are still a deterrent, though I called them ridiculous in my last comment. Just wanted to clarify that. It's better than nothing, which is what they're doing in D.C.

I take it the cop's didn't have the right to beat the runner silly with their billy club when they caught em huh?
