Britain, We Stand By You
Posted on July 7, 2005
We here at Stop The ACLU want to express our heartfelt sympathy and solidarity with Great Britain. It is an absolute tragedy what happened to them this morning. Our prayers are with the families of those who were lost. Britain have always stood by us through thick in thin in this war on terror. We want them to know, that now in their time of need, we too stand by them. We want to thank Jack Lewis.net for the image in the top left corner of the site. We would also like to send a special word of comfort and support to our fellow British blogger and friend Rottweiller Puppy
We found this picture from Wuzzadem who found it from Are You Conservative? who says all are welcome to use it on their website. We want to thank both of them. And another thank you to Wuzzadem for linking our grand opening today. Also a thank you to Mudville Gazette for their open posts, and Outside The Beltway for their Traffic Jam.
Update: Ace of Spades HQ is reporting that two more bombs were found that were never detonated. And Michelle Malkin has more details.
Mark In Mexico has an extensive list of people posting about this tragedy. Steve has a personal story about what happened.

Today, I think it is appropriate to take heart from the words of Winston Churchill, who was both American and British by blood. His war against Hitler was the equivalent in his time of our war against terrorism.
“We shall fight on the seas and oceans, we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air, we shall defend our Island, whatever the cost may be, we shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, we shall fight in the hills; we shall never surrender.” His words ring true today with wisdom and courage still. “We shall not fail or falter; we shall not weaken or tire. Neither the sudden shock of battle nor the long-drawn trials of vigilance and exertion will wear us down. Give us the tools and we will finish the job.”
God bless.
Great quotes Joseph. And you are right. Not since WWII has there been a need for such strong words. And not since Hitler has the Earth had such evil, vile people to direct those words to. Winston Churchill was a great man. A man with courage and honor.
Thanks for the wisdom OK Dem.
God this was terrible. I have some personal life experience from today’s events. So sorry Jay for the obligatory blog spam.
